Catch Up

Summer has been a busy time for me and the family.  Summer is always busy for Alaskans because of tourism, warm weather and fish.  Life revolves around fish during the summer - it's always about the fish.

I've gotten into some metal detecting and have been looking for gold, quite infrequently actually.  I need to get out more with my detector before snowtime comes but from what I know, it can be even more useful then.  We'll see.

I had one of my wisdom teeth taken around two weeks ago.  At this side of 30, man it was quite an experience.  The out part wasn't too bad, I had drugs that helped out with that quite a bit.  The after part?  Well, I still have a hole in my gums and apparently it can take 6 months to "fill back up" with bone and muscle.  I thought I would have some of this but certainly not that amount of time.  So I have what's called a periodontal pocket that I have to wash out and keep clean as my body slowly builds up mass to fill what was taken.

I have come to enjoy the benefits of a waterpik and use it often.

Geez, could this not be one of the most boring posts I've ever put on here?  Survey says: YES.
